Background:
Walking With Grace House is an inclusive community and day center for adults with disabilities in the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina. They came to me on day zero, having only the idea and a name but no visual direction. The goal was to create a visual identity & collateral pieces for Walking With Grace House that was welcoming, friendly, and amplified the diversity that special needs creates in our community.
Ideation:
I wanted to create a friendly, welcoming, and exciting brand, with a logo mark that conveys you are home. The challenge here was to create exciting, friendly visuals without it stepping into the childish territory. Walking With Grace House caters to a diversity of special needs and each need should be celebrated, this is conveyed through the tagline "Where Every Need Finds A Home" and it's complimentary visual of brand colored circles in a variety of outlines. While this home is for adults, they are not lacking in personality and neither should the brand visuals!
Outcome:
Walking With Grace House is continuing to build its mission everyday. They are currently working with local legislation, getting involved in the community, and raising money for the home to become a reality soon. Please feel free to check out their website, mission, or make a donation here.
